Been feeling the urge to shoot a new photo but wanted to try something new. I remembered something far down and obtainable on my bucket list and decided I'll go on a night time hike to the top of a mountain near my house, and I've timed it so it will also be during a full moon. From the top you can see much of San Diego all the way to the Pacific Ocean. This Friday my plan is to take a panoramic photo of the city lit up far below. I'm crossing my fingers it will be a clear night since it has been kind of cloudy recently (just a few clouds wouldn't hurt though God).
The trail is 3.5 miles to the top and it gets pretty steep and rocky, so my new Fenix Tk40 will help keep me from falling off any cliffs. I've only seen the view from the top during the day which is spectacular as it is, so I'm curious to see what it looks like at night, I hope what I capture is worth the effort... eh who am I kidding, I just want to do the hike!
It's difficult for me to find something new to shoot where I live. The desert is always my go to place to camp or shoot photos (and create mischief
I guess I'll just have to start getting creative... Isn't that a drag?
Something to look forward to though are my plans to revisit the Bisti Badlands in New Mexico in January. Hoping to make it a week long adventure full of exploring, getting lost, camping, photography, did i mention getting lost? I think I have nice group of people, including two of my cousins, to go and they all seem to be excited about it as well. Only 7 1/2 months away! I'm sure I'll find something to keep me busy until then.
